Backflush: daily
Use only products made for coffee machines.
- Fit the blind basket in the portafilter.
- Add the dedicated cleaner.
- Run the group and stop in cycles.
- Rinse with clean water.
Descaling: when it is needed
Frequency depends on water hardness, usage and whether there is a filter. Signs of scale: slow flow, low pressure, pump noise, insufficient heating.
- Deep descaling of the boiler and pipes is best done in a service.
- A water filter or softener limits scale. See water filters.
