The taste of coffee changes from day to day with humidity and the coffee itself. A small adjustment is often enough.
Watery coffee
- The grind is too coarse: grind finer.
- The dose is too small.
- The flow is too fast.
Bitter coffee
- The grind is too fine: grind coarser.
- Dirty groups, baskets and portafilters with rancid oils.
- Brew water temperature is too high.
Why coffee changes every day
Humidity, the coffee and burr wear all change the grind, so the grinder needs frequent readjusting. See adjusting the grinder, extraction and cleaning the machine.
When it is not the coffee
If the machine pressure or temperature is not stable, it needs service.
