Steam depends on boiler pressure and on how clean the steam wand is.
Checks
- Are the steam wand holes blocked with milk?
- Does the gauge show normal pressure?
- Is the steam valve open?
Possible causes
- Milk residue in the wand.
- Scale in the boiler or valve.
- A worn steam valve or heating element.
Solution
Clean the steam wand straight after every use. If steam does not return, request service. See also milk temperatures.
